As a Financial Institution Sales Consultant of FI Business Solutions, you will establish new relationships and promote the Buzz Points value proposition to targeted financial institutions in your respective territory with the objective of securing “win-win” contractual relationships for the Company’s innovative platform of solutions.  This role will also be responsible for managing the strategic post-sale relationship between Buzz Points and its key-partner Financial Institutions.

While this position will be focused on solution selling Buzz Points into new community financial institutions and will be required to locate, qualify, propose, and close deals, the position will be part of continuing relations post-sale with key accounts. This role will have a direct and substantial impact on Buzz Points’ footprint and top-line results.

  • Meet or exceed new business sales quota.

  • Responsible for cultivating a productive, professional relationship with key personnel in each partner FI.

  • Promote Buzz Points products and services.

  • Secure, schedule, and conduct compelling face-to-face sales calls.

  • Build and maintain pipeline of new business.

  • Work collaboratively with other Buzz Points departments to achieve desired results.

  • Maintain accurate CRM system, including updating activities and account status.

  • You will be a key representative of Buzz Points to partners, customer, industry influencers, and the industry as a whole. 

  • You will apply strategic thinking and business development tactics to successfully approach, negotiate, and close deals.

  • You must be able to scope and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

  • You will track and report against metrics on progress and impact.

  • You will help maintain deep competitive and industry knowledge to drive strategy and client discussions and will help monitor competitor products intensely to identify new opportunities to create an advantage for Buzz Points.

  • Deliver strategic, creative, and compelling presentations.

  • Discover buyer motivations and implementing “best action” plans to close deals.

  • Other initiatives will develop as needed.

  • Experience selling solutions to Banking or Credit Union C Suites.

  • 10+ years of experience in tech-related business/corporate/strategic development with a track record of delivering above quota.

  • 5+ years in solution sales or business development within the financial services industry.

  • Proven track record selling a SaaS model or FinTech solution.

  • Demonstrated experience building and tuning scalable sales models.

  • Confident and highly competitive leader who has a knack for recruiting and motivating A+ talent.

  • Generating trusting relationships with C-level executives

  • Must have a balance of hard skills (technical fluency, financial mastery, legal familiarity) and soft skills (relationship building, evangelism). 

  • Undergraduate degree preferred; MBA and/or other advanced degree desired.

  • Ability to travel to markets and sales meetings as appropriate; estimate travel around 25-50%.

  • High level of intellectual horsepower with strong business acumen and excellent judgment.

  • Proven success working in a start-up environment.


  • Understanding of the nuances of a Financial Services Institution (i.e. banking regulations, mechanisms of fee-based income versus not-interest income, payment mechanics, industry trends, etc.).

  • Experience developing complementary sales channels and distribution strategy.

  • Familiarity with the rewards economy (social, local, mobile).
